When you think of "scratch and dent" you think about the work that is going to be involved in refurbishing the particular piece of equipment that you're interested in. In the laundry list of repair will be mechanical and aesthetical repairs that will have to be taken care of. The mechanical repair may be the most time and cost consuming part of the project but the aesthetical or outside appearance will give you the most kudos from those that look at your work.

But still, we can say that front loaders are the best choice. Why here are a few reasons:

More Energy and Water Efficient
The efficiency of these washing machines could not be shrugged off. The built of front loading washers allow it to be more energy and water efficient. They require less use of water as the tub tumbles and rotates instead of spin.

As a reminder, even though the product is called appliance paint, it doesn't mean that it can be used in all areas of some appliances. For instants any surface that may get above 100 degrees should not be covered with regular appliance paint. High temperature paint is the kind that you should use for burner areas and inside the oven or broiler area.

Bigger Tub Capacity
Top loaders have the agitator at the bottom of the washer. This gobbles up a lot of tub space. A front loading washer does not have it because it uses a tumbling motion to get your clothes clean. Since there is no agitator, more clothes can be stuffed inside.

So if you got a little job get out the brush on bottle that came with the appliance or you picked up at the hardware and have at it. If you've got a bigger job, you may have the experience already and don't need my jabber but if not I'll give some hints in a later article and try to help with the bigger projects
